Paul Ryan Reveals His Favorite Recipe in The Paul Ryan Cookbook: 20 Easy Meals You Can Make With The Food You Take From Hungry Children

April 10, 2017

PP: Thank you for joining us today.

Paul Ryan: Happy to be here.

PP: Tell us about your new book. How did it come about?

Paul Ryan: Well, as you know I’ve been working out at the gym for a long time, getting totally ripped, and I discovered that there isn’t a lot of variety out there when it comes to protein shakes. At the same, in my role as Speaker of the House, I get to travel a lot. And when I looked around the country, I saw a bunch of hungry children in public schools who were getting their souls eviscerated by eating government-funded lunches. So I figured, let’s solve both these problems at once. It’s win-win.

PP: And the cheese dip?

Paul Ryan: Well that’s just common sense. Everyone loves cheese dip.

PP: Let’s talk about President Trump. The President has said he only likes one of your protein shake recipes, but only if you add ketchup. Have you been able to reconcile your differences?

Paul Ryan: This has all been covered previously. It’s water under the bridge. I’m focused on the future right now and doing good work for the American people.

PP: Um, okay. What’s your favorite recipe?

Paul Ryan: Well, to be honest, my favorite recipe isn’t in this book, but I can tell you that I love the Creamy Grape Shake.

PP: Thank you, Mr. Speaker. We’ll be sure to share that one with our readers.

Paul Ryan: Thank you.

Creamy Grape Shake

1 tsp grated orange peel

1 (8oz) package cream cheese

1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup mixed nuts

2 Tbsp mayonnaise

1 1/2 cup seedless grapes

3 scoops of your favorite protein powder

Place ingredients in an industrial blender and blend for 15 seconds. Pour into your favorite Green Bay Packers pint glass and enjoy.
